Doing this will allow workers to have a real sense of accomplishment while knowing they are improving in other areas.


Another powerful interpersonal skill that has a direct bearing on a person's self esteem concerns acceptance by others. We all know what it feels like to not have that; to actually be rejected by someone in many different situations. What you as the head of your business, or organization, can do is let it be known that you accept others despite reasonable faults. Yes, you have a business to run, and not all faults can be allowed to exist in your business. However, you can demonstrate a positive impression by showing that you understand people have faults, including you, yet it's ok and it is something that can be worked with.

When you let people know you care about them, you have an immediate impact on their sense of esteem.

Having someone in the work place that employees can talk to about serious problems is one method of accomplishing this. The handling of such concerns can be best done by your human resources department. While some people may feel too embarrassed or uncomfortable with taking advantage of this option, you'll find that others will.


As the head of the organization, there are various things that you can do to help improve self esteem within the business. This isn't an overnight project and will take time, but it is a worthy investment to make in your business. As self esteem increases, you will increase your bottom line, improve employee retention rate, and realize a positive ROI. Plan out an organized strategy to get you started.
